"When you change the way you view birth, the way you birth will change." - Marie Mongan

“Birth is an opportunity to transcend. To rise above what we are accustomed to, reach deeper inside ourselves than we are familiar with, and to see not only what we are truly made of, but the strength we can access in and through birth.” – Marcie Macari

"Childbirth is an experience in a woman’s life that holds the power to transform her forever. Passing through these powerful gates – in her own way – remembering all the generations of women who walk with her… She is never alone." - Suzanne Arms

About Me

My journey to supporting birth started in an unconventional way. Being from ex-communist Slovakia (from the Hungarian region of Felvidék), my initial understanding of birth has been limited to compulsory episiotomies, enemas, separation of mothers and babies right after birth and obstetric abuse. This seemed to be the “norm” and you just had to “shut up and endure it, like everyone else”.

Whilst living abroad in my early twenties, I came in contact with Vipassana meditation as taught by Goenka and my journey into deconditioning the mind, dealing with generational trauma and taking self-responsibility began.

After this, upon moving to London, it wasn’t long until plant teachers found me. Through my experience with indigenous ceremonies with the Native American Church, my eyes have been opened to the importance of birth as a rite of passage for both the mother and child.

When I became pregnant with my first child, I knew that I wanted to do things differently. I enrolled on a doula course and decided to have a semi-wild pregnancy with no scans or blood tests and instead embarked on a journey of self-trust. This pregnancy culminated in the home-birth of my daughter Luna, an event that changed me in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

My calling is to support  women in having empowered birth experiences. To change the world and heal generational traumas, one birth at a time.

Mother's Blessing

A Mother’s Blessing Ceremony celebrates the mother and creates space to honour and support a woman’s journey into motherhood. The focus during the ceremony is on the mother as opposed to the traditional baby blessing, which focuses primarily on the baby.

During the gathering the mother-to-be gathers with close women friends and family members with the aim for them to shower her with support, blessings and love on her journey into motherhood.

I organise and facilitate the Mother’s Blessing for you and ensure that the event is in line with how you would like to be celebrated and blessed for the journey of motherhood ahead.

  • I charge £150 for the organization and facilitation of the Mother’s blessing
  • *Fuel and parking fees are billed extra, if needed

Birth Debriefing

Untitled design (5)

A birth debrief provides a birthing woman an opportunity to talk about her birth experience. By telling the birth story there is an opportunity to make sense of it and integrate this monumental event.

The overall idea of birth debriefing is to give you a supportive space where you can fill in any gaps. You may want to ask questions, talk about how you feel about your birth or just talk generally about the experience

Upon booking a birth debrief you will be sent a questionnaire which will be followed by a 90 minute online or in person birth debrief session.

  • A 90 minute session costs £75
  • (Upon booking, a non-refundable deposit of £25 is taken to secure your slot)
  • *Fuel and parking fees are billed extra, if needed

Birth Pool Hire

You will receive a birth pool with all necessary bits you will need to use it (including 2 hoses). Please note, you will have to get your own liner. The birth pool will be delivered to you latest by your 38th week. And picked up after you have given birth.

  • The birth pool hire is £85
  • *Delivery is billed extra, if needed
  • The Birth Pool Hire is free of charge if you book a full birth doula support package (subject to availability).

“A woman in birth is at once her most powerful, and most vulnerable. But any woman who has birthed unhindered understands that we are stronger than we know.” – Marcie Macari

Roberta has a very calm and considered and reflective approach which allows for families own choices to be nurtured whilst she signposts to useful information to consider. Her practical skills are delivered with kindness - nutritious hearty soups, healthy fruit and fibre packed muffins, relaxing massage oils and herbs to support recovery and non-intrusive home help (a 5 minute clear up to clear your view ).

Roberta supported me throughout my pregnancy and after birth. She helped me to take the right decisions and gave me research based information whenever I needed. Also she put together a baby blessing for me, creating a space where I felt supported, loved and very much cared for. After birth she transformed into a kitchen fairy, giving my husband the chance to be with us. And on top of everything she brought us the most delicious food and sweet treats, that after a 40 hour labour were nourishing both my body and soul. Thanks for everything!

Very high recommend as doula! I can't write down what I feel. She is just perfect!
